Chicago artist Tim McPherson will be teaching this class. He's a world renowned instructor, bringing a great deal of fun to the learning process.
Creative Tween Club
Tweens (ages 7+)
Tweens, join us for a very exciting night out! Tweens will transform clay into bowls on the pottery wheel, paint their pieces, play games, have pizza, drinks, cupcakes and more! A $30 non-refundable deposit is required (which will be applied to the cost of the class).

Kids Canvas Painting
(Ages 7+)
**All New! Kids' 12 week Canvas Painting Class! (ages 7-14) This class will explore the world of canvas painting. The young artists will work on multiple projects to learn different techniques using acrylic paints. We'll learn about landscape painting, portraiture, still-life painting and more while learning about the different elements of design and color!
This session runs on Wednesdays from 4:30-6:30 for 12 weeks! Class starts Wednesday February 15th! Call to reserve your child's spot today!

Glass Painting and Wine Tasting Class

Class includes 1 red and/or 1 white wine glass and all supplies needed to create one or both of these fabulous glasses. Projects will be guided by an instructor from the Creative Arts Studio.

Precious Metal Clay (PMC)
Adults (ages 12+)
Sterling Silver is 92.5% silver. Precious Metal Clay turns into 99.9% silver. This introductory workshop will teach students about the techniques and tools used with PMC, focusing specifically on the use of molds and stamps. Students will have the opportunity to practice these techniques while creating their choice of 1 large, 2 medium, or 4 small pendants. Students will also be introduced to other jewelry findings. Students will leave the class having created a fabulous personalized pure silver jewelry pendant(s)!

Intro to Wheel Throwing (Wheel Throwing 101)
Adults (ages 11+):
Our six week workshops will introduce students to the wonderful world of clay. Learning basic wheel-throwing skills will be the focus of this workshop. Students will also get a chance to use slump and hump molds to create a hand-building with clay project. During the final class, students will learn how to use different glazes to decorate their creations.

Includes instruction, 20lbs of clay, the bisque firings, and unlimited use of the wheels during the 6 week time period. Students will be charged for the glaze firings based on the size of their pots. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required (which will be applied to the cost of the class). If you can't make all 6 weeks in a row, that's O.K because we offer makeup sessions.
Kids, who are 10+ years may take this class with an adult.

Note: All students of the adult wheel throwing sessions will receive discounted walk-in wheel throwing rates once their 6 week session ends. Former students will pay only $10 plus $2 per pound of clay to throw on the wheel. The $10 is a daily fee. Bisque and glaze firing charges will also be appliled based on the size of the pieces thrown. Normally it costs $25 for 1.5 hours on the wheel, 2.5 pounds of clay, and the bisque firing.
Kids Wheel Throwing/Handbuilding Art Classes (ages 8-16)

Intro to Glass Fusing and Slumping:
Adults (ages 12+):
Nothing beats the sparkle of glass. We're truly excited to introduce the art of glass fusing and slumping to you. This introductory course will teach students how to properly score, cut and assemble glass in an artistic way. Students will complete one fused and slumped project and one pendant. Cost of the class is $45 and includes all materials. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required for each class (which will be applied to the cost of the class). Ages 12+

Mommy and Me Classes (ages 2-6)
(If mommy is busy, daddys or grandparents will enjoy these classes too!)
Our parent-child classes are a great way to spend special time together while creating lasting memories. After listening to a classic story, we'll take you step by step to creating a special pottery or mosaic piece.
Cost of class is $20 per child, and payment in full is required when making your non-refundable reservation. If siblings take the class together, both will receive 10% off the class fee. Class time is one hour. Pottery projects will be glazed and fired and ready for pick-up a week later. Mosaic projects may be taken home that day.

Introduction to Jewelry and Basic Stringing
This workshop is a great introduction into the wonderful world of beads. Students will learn about beads, findings and how to use beading tools. Students will then apply this knowledge to complete a necklace and bracelet set that they can wear home! Cost of workshop is $15 + cost of selected beads (no outside beads please). A $15 non-refundable deposit is required (which will be applied to the cost of the class). Ages 12+

Past Classes:
Introduction to Mosaics
This one-night class is a great introduction and overview of mosaics for those who have not done mosaics before and will be taught by local artists Ruth Tyszka or Anne Nechal. Students will learn about the background of mosaics and their functionality, information about local mosaic installations and basic mosaic techniques. Students will mosaic an 8" X 8" picture frame. Students will also be provided a grouting demonstration and grout to take home to complete their project. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required. Minimum of eight students for this class, so sign up soon! Cost is $34. Ages 10+

Mosaic Teapot/Canister/Bowling Ball/Square Vase Class
Students will learn about mosaic design, grouting, cutting tesserae and more. Students have the option to do a teapot, large canister, bowling ball, or large square vase. The cost is $95 for the teapot and $135 for the bowling ball, large canister, or square vase.
This class will run for 2 days (Instructor - Ruth Tyszka):
Saturday, March 24th (11:00-2:00pm) and Sunday, March 25th (12:00-3:00pm) for a total workshop of 6 hours (grouting will be done at home).
Mosaic Mirrors Class
This class is great for all ability levels and will be taught by local artist Ruth Tyszka. Students will learn about mosaic design, grouting, cutting tesserae and more. Students will then apply this knowledge to complete a large mirror frame. Students can choose between a 15" square mirror, a 15.75" X 18" heart mirror, or a 14.5" X 18" wavy mirror. Cost of this class is $145 which includes the mirror frame, instruction, glue, grout, up to 6 add-ons which will be painted and then glazed and fired, acrylic paint for grout tinting and for painting the sides of the frame. Grouting will be done at home. A $25 non-refundable deposit is required. Ages 10+

Students will then apply this knowledge to complete a 28" tall, 19" diameter round cafe table or a 20" tall, 15" diameter square, round, octagon, heart or flower table. Cost of this class is $185 for the 19" diameter cafe table or $145 for any of the 15" diameter tables. This cost includes the table, instruction, glue, grout, up to 6 add-ons which will be painted and then glazed and fired, acrylic paint for grout tinting and for painting the sides of the frame. Grouting will be done at home. A $50 non-refundable deposit is required. Ages 10+
